RIOSPLIT WF

RIOSPLIT WF is the result of the most advanced developments in pre-splitting technology. RIOSPLIT WF is a cap sensitive, chemically gassed, reticulated product. RIOSPLIT WF ™ is packaged in flexible plastic sleeves (HDPE) containing an internal line of reinforced polypropylene detonating cord.

RIOSPLIT WF ™ is specifically designed with suitable VOD and strength for splitting and pre-splitting shots in Open cut mines, publicworks, tunnels and quarries.

RIOSPLIT WF ™ is distinguished by its ergonomic design which is focused on reducing the charge time per borehole in great amounts.

RIOSPLIT WF ™ develops its optimal work under a coaxial detonation configuration, which allows the wave front of the detonating cord to maintain an intimate contact with the watergel matrix in the 360º (against the 120º of other detonating cord side initiation solutions) improving the effect of the detonation pressure, which may allow better and bigger spacing between boreholes.

The outstanding water resistance of RIOSPLIT WF ™ guarantees an appropriate loading rate along wet boreholes.

Do not use in flammable or methane atmospheres. RIOSPLIT WF ™ it can be initiated with detonator Nº8 and with detonating cord of 6 g/m.

The temperature of this product should be within the range of -10ºC and +50ºC.

USE: RIOSPLIT WF ™ should be used, handled and stored with care, ensuring the product is kept away from flames and excessive heat sources.

DISPOSAL: The disposal of explosive material can be dangerous, ensure the appropriate safety measures have been applied according to the instructions on the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

To maintain the properties of MAXAM’s explosives, we recommend they be stored in authorized deposits, in a cool dry place, with good ventilation.

Read the Instructions Safety Sheet and the Material Safety Data Sheet provided carefully before using RIOSPLIT MAXAM strongly recommends not to use RIOSPLIT products with detonators and/or initiation systems supplied by other manufacturers in the same blast and declines all liability in these cases RIOSPLIT must be stored at moderate temperatures in a dry and well ventilated place.
