RIOSEIS GX Plastic Shell

RIOSEIS GX is part of the newest generation of gelatinous sodium nitrate explosives and is produced by MAXAM . RIOSEIS GX is cap sensitive but nevertheless safe to handle. Basically it consists of sodium nitrate, mixtures of nitroglycol and nitroglycerine, nitrocellulose and other additives. RIOSEIS GX doesn´t contain any nitro aromatic bonds like DNT or TNT, which have been classified by the EU commission as carcinogenic substances by now and therefore meets the current requirements. RIOSEIS GX is characterized by its high frequency energy impulse, is easy to assemble and, through its so texture under low temperature, is easily punchable. Because of its high density it is easily sinking in water and mud. RIOSEIS GX stands out through its excellent water resistance

RIOSEIS GX stands out due to its very high efficiency and its user friendly handling in particular and therefore is predestined for use as a Seismic explosive where strong and sharp detonating impulses are presupposed.

RIOSEIS GX is suitable for many application areas of the seismic blasting technology due to its very high energy density, its relatively high density as well as the high water resistance.

RIOSEIS GX is deliverable as of a cartridge diameter of 25 mm. The explosive isn‘t allowed for underground use. The initiation must be made by a detonator with a secondary charge of 0,6 g PETN (No. 8 strength blasting cap) or a detonator with comparable initiation power. The maximum permitted hydrostatic pressure is 40 bars. The application temperature for RIOSEIS GX is from -40 °C up to +60 °C.

Read the Instructions Safety Sheet and the Material Safety Data Sheet provided carefully before using RIOSEIS GX. RIOSEIS GX must not be used in flammable environments such as methane or coal dust. MAXAM strongly recommends not to use RIOSEIS GX products with detonators and/or initiation systems supplied by other manufacturers in the same blast and declines all liability in these cases. RIOSEIS GH must be stored at moderate temperatures in a dry and well ventilated place.
