RIONEL UG

The RIONEL UG series is designed for the most difficult underground mining conditions consisting of long sleep times and long hole applications. The RIONEL UG series consists of a length of three layered shock tube with a number 8 strength detonator at one end and a plastic J-hook connector at the other end. The RIONEL UG detonator is provided in 37 standard millisecond delay times making it a unique series that accommodates both underground development and production blasting. The RIONEL UG detonator can prime RIOBOOSTER, RIOGEL, RIOHIT, RIOSPLIT and the full range of MAXAM’s cap-sensitive explosive products. All RIONEL UG include a J-Hook type connector to ease the connection to a line of RIOCORD detonating cord (5 gram/-meter minimum). The RIONEL UG series is highly reliable and precise making it ideal for the specific needs of underground blasting.

RIONEL UG detonators must not be used in flammable environments such as methane or coal dust. MAXAM strongly recommends not to use RIONEL products with detonators and/or initiation systems supplied by other manufacturers in the same blast and declines all liability in these cases. RIONEL UG detonators must be stored at moderate temperatures in a dry and well ventilated place according to local regulations.
