RIONEL MS

The RIONEL MS series has been designed for use as a down-the-hole detonator in standard blasting scenarios. RIONEL MS are manufactured in a series of varying delay timings and when used in combination with RIONEL SCX surface connectors, offer a multitude of initiation sequence options. RIONEL MS are highly accurate delays that reduce risk of timing overlap. The RIONEL MS detonator can prime RIOBOOSTER, RIOGEL, RIOHIT, RIOSPLIT and the full range of MAXAM’s detonator-sensitive explosive products. 3,6m, 4,8m and 6m RIONEL MS include a J-Hook type connector to ease the connection to RIOCORD (5 gram/meter minimum) detonating cord. Standard RIONEL MS detonators are coiled in a patented “figure 80” configuration which ensures tangle free deployment. Longer units are provided in spools also to ensure convenient tangle free deployment.

RIONEL MS detonators must not be used in flammable environments such as methane or coal dust. MAXAM strongly recommends not to use RIONEL products with detonators and/or initiation systems supplied by other manufacturers in the same blast and declines all liability in these cases. RIONEL MS detonators must be stored at moderate temperatures in a dry and well ventilated place according to local regulations.
