RIOFLEX RAPID

RIOFLEX® RAPID is an energetic underground bulk watergel explosive, which reduces the cycle time, and consists of a base Oxidant Matrix, a sensitizer and a cross linker, for use in the most dynamic and aggressive environments. Robust, quick and flexible product to use. Colour coding for contour and development holes with separated pumping lines. Lower water content than emulsions, hence more available energy.

RIOFLEX RAPID critical diameter is dependent on its density, the minimum recommended borehole diameter is 35 mm fully coupled.

Based on the client´s requirements, a product density will be agreed upon. Typically a density will be chosen between 0,4 g /cm and 1,25 g /cm.

Priming requirements - RIOFLEX RAPID is formulated to be booster sensitive and requires a minimum of a RIOPRIME 15g primer.

Water Resistance - Excellent water resistance and suitable for pumping into wet blast holes.

Sleep time - Up to three weeks in static ground water and dependent on ground conditions. Check with MAXAM before sleeping RIOFLEX RAPID for lengths off time in excess of 7 days to ensure optimal performance.

If RIOFLEX RAPID is to be applied in any known or potentially reactive materials, a testing program must be undertaken before use of RIOFLEX RAPID to ensure the inhibiting action of the product is sufficient for the intended application. RIOFLEX RAPID matrix is safe to store in approved containers.

Incorrect application of RIOFLEX RAPID may result in high levels of undesirable post-blast fumes. Ground Temperature: Suitable for use in ground temperatures between 0º - 55ºC Reactive materials: If RIOFLEX RAPID is to be applied in any known or potentially reactive material a testing program must be undertaken before use of RIOFLEX RAPID, to ensure the inhibiting action of the product is sufficient for the intended application, otherwise MAXAM accepts no responsibility for any loss or liability arising from use of RIOFLEX RAPID in reactive material.

RIOFLEX RAPID is a on site sensitized explosive, the RIOFLEX RAPID matrix suspension is sensitized by chemically gassing inside the borehole, then RIOFLEX RAPID is not transported or stored. RIOFLEX RAPID matrix is transported as a non sensitized matrix suspension, classified as an oxidizer 5.1 and should be stored in tanks and silos in accordance with all Local regulations for the storage of oxidizer materials.

Read the Material Safety Data Sheet provided carefully before using RIOFLEX. MAXAM strongly recommends not to use RIOFLEX products with detonators and/or initiation systems supplied by other manufacturers in the same blast and declines all responsibility in these cases. RIOFLEX must be stored at moderate temperatures in a dry and well ventilated place.
