Reforestation on MAXAMCORP land. INTERNATIONAL S.L: at its plant in Paramo de Masa, Burgos.
- MAXAM carries out reforestation work on the land of its Paramo de Masa plant.
MAXAM has carried out reforestation of 43.38 hectares at its Páramo de Masa plant (Quintanilla de Sobresierra), in the province of Burgos, between 2020 and 2021. Through the implementation of new forests, the company aims to increase the biodiversity of the land, mitigate the effects of climate change, and protect the territory against erosion and possible natural disasters.
With a density of 1,100 plants/hectare, the proportion of species used in the afforestation was 75% Pinus nigra (laricio pine), 9% Quercus faginea (gall oak) and 8% Quercus ilex (holm oak), as well as 4% Prunus spinosa (blackthorn) and 4% Crataegus monogyna (hawthorn). 78,715.03, 53% of which was financed by FEADER funds, 41.7% by the Junta de Castilla y León and 5.30% by MAGRAMA .
