RIOFLEX GX 7000 has been specifically designed for large scale open pit mining operations and Quarries.
RIOFLEX GX 7000 can be produced on the bench with a wider range of densities to accommodate to all types of rocks and applications for an improved fragmentation and expanded drilling patterns.
MAXAM’s Technical Services help customers use RIOFLEX GX to reduce environment impact, reduce drilling, improve digging and transport rates, and improve crusher output.
Reduce environmental impact, improve blast performance and reduce total cost of ownership by reducing drilling, improving digging rate & hauling, and increasing crusher output*.
Variable energy profiles allow optimization of the explosive distribution and consumption.
One, non explosive product, maintained on site for production and wall control blasts. Allows for reduced inventory requirements and storage costs.
Formulated with lower water content and optimal oxygen balance minimizes the risk of generating fumes.
Environmental excellence and improved cost profiles through the use of recycled oils in the RIOFLEX manufacturing process.
Improving safety using a single product, with natural inhibitors, that can be used in both reactive and non reactive ground.
RIOFLEX supply chain can utilize HDAN and/or LDAN to optimize supply chain cost.
RIOFLEX GX 7000 critical diameter is dependent on its density, the minimum recommended borehole diameter is 76 mm, for smaller diameters contact Maxam representative.
Priming requirements - RIOFLEX GX 7000 is formulated to be booster sensitive and requires a minimum of a RIOBOOSTER 400g primer. Smaller primers may reduce the performance of the explosives and are not recommended with this product. It is recommended to use additional RIOBOOSTERS where there is a risk of column disruption and/or explosive column length exceeds 12m. RIOCORD detonating cord down lines are not recommended for use with this product range.
Water Resistance - Suitable for pumping into boreholes with water.
Sleep time - Up to 4 weeks in static ground water and dependent on hole diameter, density and ground conditions. Check with
MAXAM before sleeping RIOFLEX GX 7000 for lengths in excess of 1 week to ensure optimal performance.
Gassing time - Allow at least 30 minutes between loading and stemming blast holes.
Incorrect application of RIOFLEX GX 7000 may result in high levels of undesirable post-blast fumes. Ground Temperature: Suitable for use in ground temperatures between 0º - 55ºC Reactive materials: If RIOFLEX GX 7000 is to be applied in any known or potentially reactive material a testing program must be undertaken before use of RIOFLEX GX 7000, to ensure the inhibiting action of the product is sufficient for the intended application, otherwise MAXAM accepts no responsibility for any loss or liability arising from use of RIOFLEX GX 7000 in reactive material.
RIOFLEX GX 7000 is a on site sensitized explosive, the RIOFLEX GX 7000 matrix suspension is sensitized by chemically gassing inside the borehole, then RIOFLEX GX 7000 is not transported or stored. RIOFLEX GX 7000 matrix is transported as a non sensitized matrix suspension, classified as an oxidizer 5.1 and should be stored in tanks and silos in accordance with all Local regulations for the storage of oxidizer materials.
