ZEB/CU200/HU20

The ZEB/CU200/HU20 is a powerful blasting machine designed to initiate nearly all kinds of detonators. The heavy duty design with an all metal housing is developed for long and reliable service. The aluminum alloy housing is painted in a gray hammer effect finish with robust long lasting plastic covers for a professional appearance. The charging crank is removable to protect the machine against unauthorized usage. The charging state of the capacitor is shown by an integrated volt meter on top. The operation is easy. After charging the machine with the crank on the generator socket, remove it and insert it into the firing socket. Simply turn the crank to the right to initiate. The discharge energy immediately reaches its maximum value that ensures a fast and reliable ignition of all applicable detonator types (shown on next page). The maximum number of detonators of each type is defined by the maximum electrical resistance of the ignition circuit.

CU-Series blasting machines of ZEB are mainly consisting of an electro-mechanical generator, a capacitor, a crank and a releasing device.
By turning the crank handle the generator produces a high voltage. The generated energy is stored in a capacitor and the target voltage is displayed on the integrated volt meter.
The initiation can be done by removing the crank from the generator and inserting into the fire socket. Turn the crank to initiate the blast.

ZEB recommends sending blasting machines to ZEB in a periodic cycle for a check.

Testing Device ZEB/P/CU200

Leather Case ZEB/CU200/HU20

Connect the exploder testing device type ZEB/P/D/CU200 to the terminals of the blasting machine ZEB/D/CU200/HU20 to do a fast functional test of the capacitor to ensure a safe operation. There is also a protective leather case available for the testing device.

The homologations at BAM (Germany) and LOM (Spain) are only valid while the blasting machine is in its protective leather case.

It is important that the ignition circuit resistance does not exceed the allowed maximum resistance of the blasting machine.

For operation in dangerous areas like gassy mines (flammable environments: methane or coal dust) we offer also a permissible blasting machine. Ask for model ZEB/D/CU100K with reduced energy output time at <4ms.

Read the User Manual delivered with the blasting machine carefully before using the product. Only blasting machines with the product extension “K” are allowed to be used in flammable environments such as methane or coal dust. Never touch the terminal clamps -the generated high voltage can cause an electric shock.
